Hasbara News Club — In addition to Michael Bennett, Seattle Seahawks defensive end, and his brother Martellus Bennett, the New England Patriots tight end, late last night, Miami wide receiver Kenny Stills is also dropping out of an Israeli Hasbara propaganda trip. This is dropping the originally scheduled number of NFL players who were going on this unfortunate trip from eleven to eight.
Congratulations to these principled NFL players who are refusing to be used by the Israeli Ministry of Strategic Affairs. It’s not too late for the other eight players to see the light, and refuse to be used as propaganda fodder for the Apartheid government of Israel.
It’s been revealed that the entire project is simply about using these players as so-called “goodwill ambassadors” but you cannot put lipstick on a pig and make it anything other than a pig. The illegal colonialism in Israel and Palestine that has been going on for decades must not be supported by celebrities who are having their status as entertainers politicized for devious ends, and it does not get any more devious than racist ethnic cleansing and the demolition of homes of indigenous people to make room for extremists who devalue not only the rule of law but the religion of Judaism as well.
Good on you gentleman! Here’s hoping the other players will bow out and take a principled stand as you have.
