Hasbara News Club — Once again Google Corporation is showing that it is on the side of Fake News by publishing an absurdly false article on Google News from the Hate Group and wrongly named “American Center for Law and Justice” (ACLJ). Since the waning days of the so-called Christian Coalition, the ACLJ has worked against people of color, LGBT issues and pretty much every value that America stands for in their crazy quest to turn the United States of America into a Taliban-like Christian theocracy. The false story states:
Just when you think it couldn’t get more outrageous, we find out that mere hours before President Donald Trump took the oath of office, the Obama Administration brazenly released $221 million to the Palestinian Authority, one of the leading sponsors of terror in the Middle East.
Just weeks before this decision, President Obama’s Administration commenced its attacks on Israel and its democratically elected leaders. It did so by refusing to veto a United Nation Security Council (U.N.) resolution that preposterously claimed that Jewish settlements and the Jewish Quarter (in Jerusalem) are occupied territory. This betrayal was hidden behind a diaphanous fig leaf: the shaky claim that settlements are a barrier to peace rather than the Palestinians’ refusal to accept Israel’s right to exist as a profoundly Jewish State. This move served to embolden Israel’s enemies.
Yesterday we reported on the fact that the Obama administration released already earmarked AID to the PA and the Palestinians. If so many lives were not at stake, perhaps the PA should end all cooperation with the Apartheid government of Israel and let them as the occupying power start shouldering the entire burden as an occupying power is required to do by the rule of law.
Leaving aside the idiocy that somehow an Apartheid state has a “right” to exist, which it does not and never will because as we all know, well, at least anyone who does not rely on #alternatefacts – that Apartheid is a crime against humanity, see this discussion from John Dugard on the UN Convention on Apartheid…
Then, of course, the most recent passage of UNSCR 2334 is simply a reiteration of well-known international law. It is factual. It is not factual to claim that the occupied territories of Palestine are not occupied. This is precisely why I would not let Jay Sekulow defend my puppy dog against crapping in the house. What kind of “lawyer” can possibly be this ignorant?
Let’s look at UNCR 465 for a moment. Passed more than thirty years ago, it was the last insignificant statement on the rule of law and the illegal colonies that Israel has placed in Palestine, a nation state now recognized by 138 states and the Vatican. It clearly states:
Affirming once more that the Fourth Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War of 12 August 1949 is applicable to the Arab territories occupied by Israel since 1967, including Jerusalem,
Deploring the decision of the Government of Israel to officially support Israeli settlement in the Palestinian and other Arab territories occupied since 1967,
Deeply concerned over the practices of the Israeli authorities in implementing that settlement policy in the occupied Arab territories, including Jerusalem, and its consequences for the local Arab and Palestinian population,
Taking into account the need to consider measures for the impartial protection of private and public land and property, and water resources,
Bearing in mind the specific status of Jerusalem and, in particular, the need for protection and preservation of the unique spiritual and religious dimension of the Holy Places in the city,
Drawing attention to the grave consequences which the settlement policy is bound to have on any attempt to reach a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the Middle East,
Recalling pertinent Security Council resolutions, specifically resolutions 237 (1967) of 14 June 1967, 252 (1968) of 21 May 1968, 267 (1969) of 3 July 1969, 271 (1969) of 15 September 1969 and 298 (1971) of 25 September 1971, as well as the consensus statement made by the President of the Security Council on 11 November 1976…
5. Determines that all measures taken by Israel to change the physical character, demographic composition, institutional structure or status of the Palestinian and other Arab territories occupied since 1967, including Jerusalem, or any part thereof, have no legal validity and that Israel’s policy and practices of settling parts of its population and new immigrants in those territories constitute a flagrant violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War and also constitute a serious obstruction to achieving a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the Middle East;
6. Strongly deplores the continuation and persistence of Israel in pursuing those policies and practices and calls upon the Government and people of Israel to rescind those measures, to dismantle the existing settlements and in particular to cease, on an urgent basis, the establishment, construction and planning of settlements in the Arab territories occupied since 1967, including Jerusalem;
7. Calls upon all States not to provide Israel with any assistance to be used specifically in connexion with settlements in the occupied territories…
My own objections come down to the way he relates to fellow Jews who disagree with his position on the Israeli occupation and the settlements. He has branded J Street, the pro-Israel, pro-peace organization where I have worked the past four years as “worse than kapos” — that is to say worse than the Jews who were forced to work for the Nazis in the concentration camps during the Holocaust, sometime acting with great cruelty toward fellow Jews. He has even suggested we are not truly Jewish.
You should be ashamed of being a kapo, herding Jews into the “camps” i.e. trying to convince the world that it is a Jewish imperative to commit crimes against humanity against indigenous people. Does that sound harsh to you? Good, you should be deeply ashamed at publishing such trash and Google News should also be held accountable for being the active purveyor of your ridiculous lying garbage.
Which version is the suitable version when using the term kapo to describe a Jew who is trying to defend the indefensible? Is it the crimes against humanity, the abuse of children and civilians to further a crime against humanity, the home demolitions of indigenous people in another land to expressly appropriate their sovereign territory contrary to Article 2, paragraph 4 of the UN Charter, the denial of water rights, and the brutal siege of a tiny territory of 2 million indigenous people in their own land because some people did not like their free and democratic vote outcome?
Or is it those like you Jay Sekulow, Mr. ACLJ, who actively promote the idea that all these crimes and more are a Jewish imperative? The is the true antisemitism of the alt-right. When that truly happens, we are all doomed. How long until people start demanding that all Jews speak out against these crimes and state terror by the state of Israel just as all alt-right wingnuts demand that all Muslims do a daily penance for crimes they did not commit but are blamed for by virtue of being a member of a particular religion or culture?
You are playing with a red-hot flame Jay Sekulow, you are putting many lives on the line, #alternatefacts have no place in this dire discussion, nor do they have any place being promoted on Google News as factual news.
